“I serve as the Chief Operating Officer of a hospital-employed group of more than 450 providers. I have worked exclusively with HMR for the past eight years and have been consistently impressed by their breath of knowledge, scope of expertise and unerring focus on outstanding outcomes. I believe they are unique in their ability to operate hospital-employed physicians groups on virtually a break-even basis.”

Physician Integration Services

HMR has been successfully involved in the hospital/physician integration business since 1992 and is the architect and hands-on facilitator of some of the most successful hospital — owned physician networks anywhere.

The networks we build have withstood the test of time for three reasons:

  • they achieve acceptable operating results,
  • they facilitate high levels of provider satisfaction and retention,
  • they are sustainable over the long-term.

HMR provides turnkey physician integration services including network design and modeling, infrastructure development plans, physician compensation planning, deal structuring, introduction to targeted physicians, practice/asset valuations and interim network management. HMR may be the only firm in the country with a track record of building hospital owned physician networks that consistently achieve acceptable operating results.

Physician Compensation Planning

Thousands of hospital-employed physicians thrive under compensation plans that were developed and implemented by HMR — and their employers enjoy the benefits of high physician productivity. Many of our compensation planning assignments have involved migrating salary-based physicians to 100% productivity based compensation models — and we have successfully completed dozens of such projects with virtually no physician attrition. Our comprehensive services include plan modeling and development, plan rollout to physicians and ongoing plan administration.

Interim Network Management

HMR provides on-site executive leadership and management for new physician networks we are building and for networks that we are re-engineering, either on a full-time or part-time basis. Clients often retain our expertise as a change agent, particularly in situations where networks must be re-engineered or when there have been changes in executive management.
